What Is the South Main Association?

We’re creative and quirky, energetic and entrepreneurial. We’re the residents, merchants and friends of the South Main Historic Arts District, where you’ll find some of the most important cultural attractions in Memphis – from the Orpheum Theatre to the National Civil Rights Museum to Central Station. The district is home to dozens of trendy locally owned restaurants, boutiques and galleries, most of them tucked into the historic buildings that define the neighborhood.

We promote the future of our community while remaining passionate about preserving its past.
